This Tuesday I was lucky enough to spend the day with my friend, Karla, who is the most organized and motivated person I know. Karla came to Naples for the day hoping to find some wonderful items for her new home. I think we managed to run through about fourteen thrift, consignment and antique stores in a few hours time. It was so much fun and we saw some great items. I was so busy did not take too many pictures, except the few below.
Karla and I loved these chairs, measurements taken, decisions to be made.
Various items at the antique mall.
Also, this white cabinet with grey painted interior to hold towels in the bath!
Nothing was purchased, however, we did get some great ideas and found some wonderful new thrift and consignment shops. Lots of laughs and plenty of stories!
Karla's sister is Ki Nassauer of Junk Market and FLEA MARKET STYLE magazine fame. Her newest venture is
FleaQuest, a website listing various flea markets, antique stores and thrifts throughout the country.
Karla and I tested it out on Tuesday and found a couple of places that I had missed! It is a great tool for finding the best shops and markets when you are traveling, or at home.
Flora Doora is proud to be listed as a
FleaQuest scout and urges you to take a look at the site and join up!
Hope you get to spend a day thrift shopping with a friend soon!
Karla, I hope we get to shop again soon!
